Since opening its doors in September 2015, Regent International School Kuantan has been dedicated to providing a top-class British Cambridge International education in a peaceful, nurturing environment. Nestled in the heart of Kuantan, Pahang’s vibrant capital, our campus offers students the perfect balance of quiet surroundings and access to modern city conveniences. Here, we are one of the few that provide Cambridge International School in Kuantan from the early years to IGCSE.

At Regent Kuantan, our academic journey is built on the British Cambridge International Curriculum, providing a clear and structured pathway from Early Years through to IGCSE. Each stage is designed to develop confident, curious, and capable learners, preparing them for future success in higher education and beyond.

A nurturing start where children explore, discover, and learn through play-based activities that build creativity, communication, and social skills. Our Early Years, pre-school programme includes the Nursery and Reception years and offers education for children in the 3 – 5 age group.

A strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, science, and the arts. Our primary years emphasise inquiry, problem-solving, and building a love for learning.

Key Stage 1:

At Regent Kuantan, our Key Stage 1 programme provides young learners with a strong foundation during their most formative years. Designed for children aged 4 to 6, this balanced and enriched curriculum blends play-based exploration with structured learning, nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Our approach ensures a smooth and seamless transition into Key Stage 2, equipping students with essential literacy, numeracy, and social skills while harnessing a love for discovery and lifelong learning. With caring teachers and a supportive environment, every child is encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally at their own pace.

Our Key Stage 2 programme builds on the strong foundations laid in the early years, guiding students aged 7 to 11 through an engaging and well-structured Cambridge Primary curriculum. At this stage, learners deepen their knowledge in core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science, while also developing skills in ICT, Humanities, and the Arts.

With a focus on inquiry-based learning, problem-solving, and critical thinking, students are encouraged to explore ideas, ask questions, and build independence in their learning. Frequently Asked Questions

RIS Kuantan follows the internationally recognised Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum and the UK National Curriculum, leading to the Cambridge IGCSE examinations.

The admissions procedure includes completing an enquiry form, submitting required documents (e.g., MyKid/MyKad of child, current school report) and paying the enrolment/enrolment fee once an offer is made.

A school tour is also available, and you can book one to visit the Kuantan campus and meet the admissions team. Applications are accepted. all year round.

A wide range of clubs, societies and ECA (extra-curricular activities) are offered: arts & crafts, archery, coding, robotics, gardening, first aid, performing arts, etc. 

Yes, the Kuantan campus is described as having a high percentage of expatriate families and internationally-trained staff, creating a multicultural & globally minded environment.

The programme covers Early Years/Foundation (EYFS) for younger children, Primary (Years 1-6), Lower Secondary (Years 7-9) and Upper Secondary (Years 10-11, preparing for IGCSE).

The school does not directly provide a school bus service. Instead, they have a list of transporters (independent transport providers) that parents can enquire from.

Facilities include modern classrooms, science labs, ICT suites, art rooms, library, music and performance spaces, and outdoor sports/recreation areas.

The school emphasises a “nurturing and inclusive environment”, with interventions and personalised support classes to help learners who need extra help.
