Regent Distinction
The name of our school plays a crucial role in shaping our identity. “Regent,” meaning “Leader in Waiting,” embodies our school’s philosophy. We combine academic excellence and knowledge acquisition with the development of virtues and skills to shape each student’s character and imagination. We take pride in nurturing the next generation of global leaders.
Regent International School distinguishes itself by:
Developing Character
While academic excellence is at the foundation of all that we do, we also prioritise character development every step of the way. This is emphasised through our core curriculum and co-curricular activities. We believe that by providing an affordable and accessible internationally recognised education, we are able to best serve a diverse student body that includes both national students from Malaysia and international students from across Southeast Asia.
Inspiring Leadership
We believe that all of our students should think and act as leaders, which is why our academic and co-curricular activities are carefully developed, regularly reviewed and frequently refined. This supports academic competence while simultaneously developing the virtues and attitudes required of individuals in leadership positions. Our students are taught to think critically, build meaningful relationships, pursue knowledge, and enhance their creativity every day.
Making a Difference
We cultivate a lasting love for learning in our students. We firmly believe that education, at its core, is a transformative journey and a way of life. Our goal is to nurture respectful and open-minded leaders who make decisions based on their conscience. We actively encourage our students to embrace the 12 virtues of Regent International School as a guiding framework, not just during their time with us, but throughout their entire lives.
Regent Song
Cives Mundi
On life’s tough road, I’ll embark
I know I can make my mark
My life will take me far
In all ways, I’ll be a star
For I have been well prepared
At Regent, nothing is spared
(Chorus)
Cives Mundi, the global citizen I aim to be
Cives Mundi, the change soon you’ll see
Cives Mundi, the global citizen I aim to be
I’ll always learn to succeed
I’ll strive to progress and lead
Any failure is not the end
A lesson on how to mend
Oh Regent! You’ll get me there
In ways that’re true and fair
(Chorus x 2)
The global citizen I aim to be
